Servings: 2 people
Course: Main Course

Ingredients

  • 9 pc Rice paper
  • 75 grams Cha Siu
  • 1 teaspoon sesame for garnish
  • 2 number eggs
  • ¼ cup milk or skim milk
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowls
  • Chopping Board & Knife
  • Wok or Frying Pan
  • Baking Tray / Sheet Pan
  • Parchment Paper / Silicone Baking Ma
  • Pastry brush
  • Tongs or Spatula
  • Oven or Air Frye

Instructions

  1. Combine egg wash and place on a plate.
  2. Dice Cha Siu (honey roasted pork loin) and coat with sauce, but not too saucy. You do not want extra moisture inside
  3. Dip three rice papers on both sides with egg wash and place on a chopping board, stacking on top of each other.
  4. Add Cha Siu in the middle of the rice paper.
  5. Fold lengthwise until the edge touches.
  6. Gently roll it like a burrito to seal in the Cha Siu.
  7. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  8. Preheat oven or airfryer at 180C, bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. You can reheat in the airfryer again if you want to eat it the next day
  9. Enjoy immediately.

This turned out great. I added a bit of coconut milk and some extra chickpeas and it was perfect. I had too much liquid remaining for some reason so the coconut milk helped to thicken it a bit as it cooled. So good!
