Course: lunch, Main Course

Ingredients

  • 600 g lean pork
  • 2 packet of pickled mustard green
  • cup of quick oatmeal
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 tablespoons corn starch
  • 1 tablespoon of oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of Chinese wine
  • 1 teaspoon of chicken powder
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar substitute
  • 1 teaspoon of white pepper
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame oil

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Knife & Cutting Board
  • Steamer / Wok with Steaming Rack
  • Plate or Heatproof Dish
  • Spoon / Spatula
  • Measuring Cups & Spoons
  • Serving Dish / Bowl

Instructions

  1. Slice the lean pork cutlet into strips, then chop it using two knives until it is finely minced. I prefer to use the hand-chop method instead of store-bought ground or using a blender.
  2. Remove the mustard greens and give them a quick rinse, then chop them roughly.
  3. Add all the ingredients and mix until well combined. The patty should be moist and fluffy. Please add extra water if needed.
  4. Drizzle with sesame oil and steam for 15 minutes until cooked.
  5. You can also steam pork patty on top of half-cooked rice in the rice cooker.
  6. Serve hot with steamed rice and vegetables.
